Folks,
We do a lot of experimentation - hence the term XSEO. We basically take risks so that you don’t have to. So I wanted to discuss some of the things we are up to here at RELAX SEO Services, not a lot of implementation detail but some interesting results. Right now, we have pretty good indexing at Google ™ but suddenly, we wound up with a lot of pages in supplemental and the referrals from Google went down substantially … So we had to ask ourselves if we care … and the answer is “no”. We have the keywords we want, which means the ‘on the page’ optimization is alright but more importantly, we are actually getting more hits from Technorati and StumbleUpon than from G these days. I am pleased with this, it means that our pages are important to people, not machines (spidies) and that is exactly what we set out to do from day one. The only reason for putting the site on the web was to try our new ideas for Web 2.0 SEO (XSEO), we actually had clients long before we had this website.
Another interesting observation is del.icio.us is currently throttling us (and I guess begging us to stop trying to connect to them), the only thing I can think of that would cause this was a script from hell we installed about a week ago … it came from a German link building site. This script generated massive errors just from mouseMoves over the page. If you want to know who distributes this little dandy, just contact me and I’ll tell you who to stay away from … as I said before, we take the risks. As I have mentioned time and time again, the clues are all on our site. This is how it works: We brainstorm an idea, then we pick an existing page on our site to test with, so if your watching carefully you will see stuff pop up on the page. If we obtained the desired result … it stays, else we cut it loose. Point is it could be anywhere in our structure, we just pick a page and go.
All in all, we’re happy (we don’t worry - we RELAX). With regards to the G controversy, I once said “Absolute power corrupts absolutely” … OK, maybe that was somebody else who said that but time will tell if Google is really pulling a fast one or not.

Folks,
I thought I would take a moment to explain what this website
does and how to use it. Yes it is actually an SEO tool center, not a ‘gimme your money’ site.
The main productivity area is the “directory”, it just started out that way, as I began to toss the tools in with my links area. I wanted to rename it to SEO Center or something like that but I don’t want to lose links and haven’t really come up with a good enough reason to do so yet.
First you will find over 250 good linking sites with respectable page ranks and friendly submission policies, obviously I’ve got many more but until I get around to confirming links, this is what I have, it grows constantly. By the way, you really should be scraping sites like freelinks.info with a tool like SEO Elite
and you can build your own experience about them and share em with us in our Forum.
That brings us to the Blog/Forum, it is an SEO fortified wordpress Blog, yup, plenty of pinging and if I have the time I will add optimized title’s, keywords and meta descriptions to your posts before they get blasted out … at the very least they will carry the built in tags for the category, not just my Blog URL.
The tools center (Directory) is really for stations with two or more monitors, if you are only using one screen, then stop reading this and go get a graphics adapter that supports multiple CRT’s and a few monitors, we’ll still be here when you get back.
Let’s take a look at the search engine, it is an SEO only Search Engine, as I get the time, I continue to add authority sites like SEO Chat etc, so when you search for a tool or an article, it WILL be SEO related. I think that alone is a good reason to stop by, I don’t know why all SEO’s aren’t doing this but it is just so obvious to me. If you know of any really great SEO sites with lots of collateral let me know and I will check them out and maybe add them.
While the ‘links directory’ is sort of a manual way to build links (which is the friendly way to do it), there are other useful tools here. They are fair if you don’t have any of the Top Performers, you know, SEO elite, WebCEO
, IBP etc. (it seems that each have their varied uses) and the Directory area is set up so you can use them together (provided you have multiple screens) to get things done.
The page rank tool is also a sort of mini backlink checker, for quick checks when your sizing up an upcoming project or your competitors … but the BackLink Analysis tool does some pretty cool things and outputs chart friendly .csv … if you can push the ‘next button’ on the Excel chart wizard, then you can produce some good graphic analytics with this tool.
While not a full-fledged scraper, the ‘List Stripper’ works great to take raw scrapes like HTML links lists and thin them into something workable.
The phrase generator is something I use all the time, you never know when a keyword will pass you by. I generate tons of them and run em through WebCEO to check the KEI’s and you would be surprised what you can drag up with this nifty little free SEO tool.
Of course I have a good keyword analyzer built into the Online SEO tool suite but if you haven’t got the real champions for keyword analysis, you really should consider getting them and learning how to get the most out of them.
There are more tools in the Directory and I add them as I find them … There is even an Easter Egg or two on the site … but this should give you an idea what to expect when you arrive at RELAX SEO Services
.
There’s no pressure to do anything, we just enjoy having you here rather than surfing all over the place trying to find stuff. If your my age, you’ll probably forget what you were looking for anyway
So drop on by, post to the Blog, join the Forum, send an email … just say hello. We’re all in this together, it’s us against the Big Spidery Machines: Google, Yahoo! MSN and the rest.
I won’t talk about Adsense, Adwords, Clickbank etc. here but I had to throw them in to make sure this is bot friendly copy (wink).

Ethics - in a profession or trade - is that branch of philosophy which studies the principles of right and wrong in human conduct.
Is your business ethical? What I mean is “Does your business do the right thing when faced with that decision?” It’s a simple question, which many businesses struggle with. I just don’t understand the struggling part?
I have worked for companies that believed they were ethical, and really have no clue. Meaning the decisions they make everyday towards their customers and employees does not advocate ethical behavior.
So, what is it? When someone in business gives you their word and then reneges, that is unethical. Your word is your promise. Even if it is your business making the statement.
Doing good business and being a good employer is more than your product or policies, it is the guidelines in which you do your business. I am continually disappointed in how many unethical businesses exist today. I have worked for some of them, and they just don’t get it… they ‘talk tough’ but when the decisions are finally made, I can’t fathom what motivated them come to that decision? It was not necessarily ‘doing the right thing’.
Yes, I know profits are pinnacle to most, but that IS NOT the bottom line! The bottom line is how your customer, partner, client or prospect walked away from their experience. What’s so hard to get? It also helps you feel good about yourself and your business, which helps us sleep (live) better too!
Treat them the way you want to be treated… I mean it! Don’t say something you have no intention of backing up with your actions. Keep your word in business, in compensation promises, in client promises, in every day business. This is pinnacle!
I don’t want to ramble here, but some businesses need a wake-up-call (yesterday). What puzzles me is why? When you do good business, you get more good business. I’m not just talking about the Enron’s™ or Arthur Anderson’s™ of the World, I’m talking about every type of business out there, in almost every industry.
If each one of us refused to do business with these unethical companies - we would have a lot fewer of them. Be one of the ethical ones. Do good business, keep your word, don’t venture into gray areas, and do the right thing! Sure, it will occasionally cost you something, but it will pay you back, and it won’t cost you your dignity or pride or any true profits. Isn’t your business worth it? Or how about your personal reputation? Do you care?
Try this: The next few times you’re faced with ‘doing the right thing’?
Well, when you do it - do it with extreme pleasure!*
*This will pay you and your business back ten-fold. Why? Because that person (customer, employee, client, etc.) is going to tell at least 3-20 other people (potential customers who also like to be treated well). Remember, you did it with extreme pleasure, they’re not just going to say they received a refund, or a promotion, - they’re going to be jumping up and down at how well their situation was handled! - Make someone else’s day! - you’ll be surprised at how well your day goes. This is one definition of viral marketing, and it works!
I look forward to running into more good, ethical businesses out there - hopefully yours.
Remember - Doing good business rewards your business with more of it… we’re all here seeking to do business with reputable firms and real people, let’s do just that.
The upside? If your business does good ethical business - Then you are already ahead of a good chunk of your competitors! There’s opportunity here. Keep up the good work, partner with other ‘like types’ and only do your personal business with other more ethical companies, like yours. We could see a decrease in our unethical competition very soon.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my thoughts and encourage the type of business that helped this Country, it’s people, and ethical businesses - Grow.

How do you build and promote your web site so you can get high rankings and lots of traffic? Is there a proven system that works or is it a crap shoot? Everyone who owns or manages a web site faces the same dilemma.

Make no mistake – there is no magic bullet. You can’t fool the search engines; paying so-called web pros and consultants is very risky; and printing your web address on your literature won’t generate substantial traffic either.
So what works?
There are a few techniques that definitely will make a positive difference and help you maximize your opportunities for rankings and traffic. Here are 5 steps you can take right now:
1. Register your site so that it will be crawled by the robots
You have to let the search engines know you exist so you can get ranked. You can pay to have it done with each individual engine, use a third party source (one highly recommended service is submit-it.com), or you can do it yourself at no cost. A small number of search engines account for over 90% of the traffic, so don’t chase them all. Here are the ones you need to worry about:
• Open Directory Project – www.dmoz.org
• Google – www.google.com
• Yahoo – www.yahoo.com
• Inktomi – http://submitit.bcentral.com/msnsubmit.htm
If you want to do it yourself, visit each of the above pages and search for phrases/terms which take you to the submission page – “submit a site”, “add a site”, or similar phrases.
2. Make sure you have a good site when it is crawled
Your rankings in the search engines will be determined by how well your site is constructed. Focus on three key issues:
• Links in your site – are they all working?
• Page Titles, Keywords and Descriptions – each page should focus on one or two “keywords” that are relevant to your prospects. Keywords in the Title and Description of each page should be front-loaded (placed in the first part) and neither should be “stuffed” with keywords. Focus on one or two different keywords on each page.
• Page Text – keywords should be in the top one-third of each page, with a 5-7% frequency throughout the whole page (mention your keywords 5-7 times per 100 words of copy)
A valuable free tool to check some of the above can be found at www.web-inspect.com/search-engine-preparation.php
3. Make an effort to get links from other sites
Google and other key engines give high relevancy to sites with many links pointing back to them. Trading links with other high-traffic sites is an excellent strategy. Buying on-line ads and links can also be a good strategy if cost-effective.
4. Don’t forget the human visitors to your site
While rankings in the search engines are determined by the robots, it is your human prospects who will be reading them for content when the search engine finds them. If you want them to click-through to your site when they find you, write Titles and Descriptions that focus on the value you offer them. And when they get to your site, be certain your site is visually attractive with adequate color and graphics, but don’t overdo either. Every page should be easy to navigate and the text should be focused on solving your prospects’ problems.
5. Consider the paid search engines
This is commonly referred to as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising because participation requires you to bid on a “per-click” basis for specific words/phrases you think interest your prospects. The leading PPC search engines are Google Adwords, Overture, and MSN. Because they generate an extremely large amount of traffic, every business owner should explore the viability of using them.
A word of caution. Do not:
• Think that simply building a site will generate traffic
• Try tricks or gimmicks
• Obsess over the task
• Give up; the process does work if you’re patient
There are no guaranteed success formulas for marketing a web site. But common sense and proven techniques go a long way to making it happen.

What does it cost?
We Work with you:
First, let us say that we are committed to an affordable and ethical SEO solution, we prefer to employ our services from ‘birth’, that is, before the site has been completed and submitted to search engines and directories. We can work WITH your web master, marketing and design team to provide all the necessary guidance and programming instruction to ensure that your web site is Targeted and Search Engine Friendly. This will guarantee that it is done right, the first time … and the skills you acquire through our consultation will carry on throughout the evolution of your web enterprise.
Obviously, many of our clients have already established sites. We find and fix the errors and re-start the process so that you may enjoy the best possible visibility. Sometimes we discover that a site has been banned previously, if this is the case, please let us know ahead of time. We enjoy a good challenge, usually we can nearly restore their rightful place in the Search Engine Results Page’s (SERP), we request the Search Engine Providers forgiveness and explain the circumstances. We will also begin an aggressive campaign of Pay Per Click and Link Popularity Building to help remedy the issues associated with Banned Sites. We are no strangers to problematic situations like these.
See Your Return on Investment:
Pay per Click campaigns and Link Exchanges do a tremendous job of providing highly targeted traffic directly to your site, hence better conversion ratios; but can low cost Web Analytic services really provide valuable data demonstrating your actual Return on Investment (ROI)? We can!
Dynamic Server Tracking Code Programming:
Finally, with Today’s Dynamic Server Technology (ASP, PHP, JSP etc.), there are complex considerations, which require specialized Web Programmers in order to provide the necessary Web Analytic coding. Don’t worry … we got em.
Our Pricing and Packaging can be as flexible and scalable as you need, from individual reports to Complete Optimization, Rank Trending and Campaign Management programs.
Here is an example:
A webmaster wants an in-depth report on his sites suitability for Google, he needs to know what he can do to improve his visibility.
Our reports are generated using a continuously updated Knowledge Base, it knows the current methods Google spiders/bots are using (and any other SE or Directory worth mentioning) to determine relevance for its pages.
We provide the report and the webmaster takes care of any discrepancies in the ‘on the page’ coding. - $40. We advise him that ‘ off the page’ factors (validated/relevant links to his site) are becoming increasingly more significant than ‘on the page’ code, he verifies this statement with a few colleagues and … impressed with the quality and depth of the previous report, he requests an ‘off the page’ advanced analysis - $80 - and as a result, determines that he must strengthen his link partners and banner exchange programs; he is now on the right path and we are happy to provide limited support free of charge, while he does the work. Of course, we could offer to perform the necessary optimization coding, potential link partner discovery and correspondence, but this guy loves his job, is getting paid to administer the site and sees the opportunity to save money on this project by performing some of the ‘heavy lifting’.
He puts his plan into action and begins to see real results from his server logs but the logs just don’t provide the data he needs … so he purchases a low cost Web Analytics package ($59/year) from someone else and still he is not able reduce the data required to justify his efforts to his superiors. He knows we can help so he contacts us and we suggest our Web Analytics package (second to none!). We demonstrate our online viewer (anytime - anywhere stats) and he’s sold on the depth of analysis and ease of use our Web Analytics subscription provides - $65/month*.
He is using dynamic server technology (ASP) and inserting the tracking code takes some programming experience. He’s a very capable fellow and a daring chap (we must say) so we offer some free guidance and flexible consulting -$50/hour - and he’s up and running.
He now has complete control over his SEO/M efforts and managed campaigns; he can now demonstrate his progress (sales have already increased enough to get Marketing’s attention!). He knows that he saved his company money and is now providing the very best SEO/M available.
Analyze - Optimize - Promote - Convert
Website Promotion:
Keyword Research and Analysis, Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Management and Link Building are the basic elements of Website Promotion (SEO - SEM), done properly, these result in improved web site visibility. Done improperly they can result in a Search Engine (SE) or Directory Provider Banning your web site, temporarily or permanently! Additionally, there is evidence to suggest that once a web site is banned, it may never fully recover. It seems Search Engine Providers can hold a grudge. Worse still, the web site owner is held responsible for the SEO’s misdeeds. This is the primary reason that every associate follows a very strict Code of Ethics at RELAX SEO Services.
We never employ so called ‘Black Hat’ techniques to boost your rankings because such methods ultimately do extreme harm to you, our valued customer. We believe, that we must maintain an ethical approach to every project we undertake if we are to remain the top SEO/M provider.
Usability and Conversion Ratio:
Evaluating the Usability of your web site in order to improve the Conversion Ratio (the number of referred visitors to people who actually buy something) takes keen analysis, and specialized tools but is perhaps the most important aspect of the process. After all, if your site is highly visible for the wrong reasons (non-relevant keywords, unrelated content etc.), your visitor will certainly be disappointed and most likely will return to the SE from whence they came and look for the next site. Another possible conversion (customer) gone forever!
By the way, web site usability is what we do best … but we understand that you need to drive customers to your site first, then convert them with relevant, compelling content provided on a well presented site, with easy (guided) navigation.
Flexible, Scalable, Affordable and Ethical:
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can work with your web master, marketing and design team (all of whom quite possibly could be … YOU) to provide flexible, scalable and affordable services. Of course, we will perform all or part of the entire suite of services as you wish, and you can get on with your sites daily operation without worry. We won’t force ‘one size fits all’ packages on you and that is why many serious web enterprises select RELAX SEO Services.
SEO Questions:
Does your Web Enterprise deserve the very best?
Are you confident that you have the best Site Visibility and Usability possible?
Are your Sales Conversion Ratios tuned to your complete satisfaction?
I really like this tool ( viewer.exe
) better than Google ™. Don’t get me wrong, I like the stuff they have but try the Demo and see for yourself.
